Foot Health Clinic A Foot Health Practitioner can help anyone who has a foot problem that requires medical attention, rather than relaxation (such as a foot massage for example) or beauty treatment (such as a pedicure).
So whether you can't reach your feet for any reason, have a medical condition that requires ongoing support for your feet, or if you have, (or it feels like you have!) just run a marathon, a Foot Health Practitioner can help. Does treatment include a pedicure? There are some parts of a pedicure that a Foot Health Practitioner may include. For example, although callous removal can be part of a pedicure, it is removed for aesthetic reasons, but if pain is involved it becomes the role of the Foot Health Practitioner.
A Foot Health Practitioner will also trim nails if necessary as part of a standard routine, but in general their role is medical, supportive of those who are unable, for whatever reason, to manage the care of their own feet. Comfort and foot health rather than beauty - although a healthy foot will naturally look and feel more beautiful. When and where is the Foot Health Clinic held?
Denise Rees SAC Dip (FHP) SAC Dip (FHPT) holds a Foot Health Clinic in the Therapy Network treatment room in the Brunel Centre Somerton on Tuesdays and Fridays. Evening appointments are available. For further information or to book an appointment, please phone 0771 876 3071.
